Meet Maggie

Maggie has always had a gift for bringing warmth to the room — whether it’s a
classroom, a kitchen, or a television set. Born and raised in England, she trained at Sheffield
College, where she earned her Home Economics credentials and discovered her lifelong
passion for teaching.
In her early career, Maggie taught children from all walks of life, including those with
special needs and those in institutional care. Her approach was gentle but firm, always led
by compassion and a sense of humor — she believed food and creativity could open doors
where words sometimes couldn’t. That spirit of kindness and invention has followed her
through every chapter of her life.
After moving to Canada, Maggie coordinated cooking schools for a major grocery chain,
sharing her expertise with thousands of home cooks. Later, she fulfilled a dream by opening
her own restaurant in France — a bold adventure made all the more remarkable by the fact
that she didn’t speak the language when she arrived. She learned quickly, of course,
charming customers with her warmth and her knack for turning humble ingredients into
unforgettable meals.
Today, Maggie brings all of that experience — the teaching, the cooking, the fearlessness —
to *Codgers Television*. She’s the heart of the show’s kitchen, the creator of the now-
famous “Maggie’s Macaroons,” and the quick-witted counterpoint to Derek’s musical
mischief. Whether she’s shopping from the reduced rack, sharing a recipe, or laughing at the
mayhem of their iPad “poof” moments, Maggie shines with the grace and grit of someone
who’s lived fully and keeps on giving.
Together, she and Derek prove that age doesn’t dim the light — it just adds depth to its
glow.
